Australia must substantially increase the number of refugees accepted per annum referred by UNHCR.

Australia should substantially increase funding to UNHCR to improve support services, assessments, safe passage, health, employment and education of people seeking asylum in regional neigbouring countries and refugee transit countries.

Australia should provide permanent protection visas for those in Australia found to be refugees.

Australia must allow family reunions for those in Australia found to be refugees.

People seeking asylum should be given fair opportunities to present their claims seeking protection.

Australia must reinstate references to the UN Refugees Convention in the Migration Act.
